Open the song
Search for the song. Opening it puts you in its live room, with anyone else playing it right now.
Send the link
Tap Invite, then Share link, and send it on WhatsApp, Instagram or anywhere. Friends on SideSong can be invited straight from the room.
Listen at the same second
Your friend opens the link and lands at the same moment in the song. Chat, react and pick what plays next together.

Is SideSong free?
Yes. SideSong is free to use. You need a free account (Google or email) so people know who they are listening with.
Do I need Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Premium?
No. Songs play through YouTube’s official embedded player, so anyone with a web browser can listen. Nobody in the room needs a paid music subscription.
How does SideSong keep everyone in sync?
Each room keeps one shared playhead on the server. Every player checks against it and corrects small drifts on its own, so people in the same room hear the same part of the song, usually within a fraction of a second. If your connection drops, the music keeps playing and the room catches you up when you are back.
Does SideSong work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. You can also add it to your Home Screen to use it like an app. On iPhone, notifications work once SideSong is added to the Home Screen (iOS 16.4 or later).
